Product Details in Kenya

The Vivo Y11d is available in Kenya at Gshoppe Kenya. Officially released in 2026, the smartphone targets budget-conscious users who want a large-screen, durable device for everyday use without stretching their wallets.

It measures 167.4 × 77.1 × 8.39 mm and weighs 209g, giving it a substantial, reassuring feel in the hand. A standout feature at this price point is its IP65 dust- and water-resistance rating, paired with a triple-layer sealing structure that helps it survive everyday knocks, splashes, and dusty commutes.

The device runs on Android 16 with OriginOS 6 and is powered by the Unisoc T7225 processor (an octa-core chip built on a 12nm process). It comfortably handles calling, messaging, social media, browsing, and video streaming.

With up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD up to 2TB), the Vivo Y11d gives budget users room to grow without needing to constantly manage storage.

It features a large 6.74-inch IPS LCD display with 720 × 1600 (HD+) resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1200 nits peak brightness. The high refresh rate keeps scrolling and app switching feeling smooth, while the brightness level keeps the screen readable under Kenya’s bright midday sun.

For photography, the phone includes a 50MP main camera (f/1.8) paired with a 0.08MP auxiliary lens, plus a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The setup handles daylight shots well and supports 1080p video recording.

Features like PDAF, HDR, and an LED flash round out the imaging package, keeping things simple and functional rather than flashy.

The Vivo Y11d supports 4G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS for reliable everyday connectivity, along with a USB Type-C port. Powering the device is a large 6500mAh battery that comfortably carries most users through a full day and beyond.

It supports 44W fast charging, so a depleted battery doesn’t mean a long wait to get back online.

Not Suitable For

5G adopters who want future-proof data speeds.
Gamers needing strong sustained performance for demanding titles.
Mobile creators who want advanced camera hardware and low-light performance.
Users who want a sharp Full HD+ or higher-resolution display.
Power users running heavy multitasking or professional apps.

Pros

Large 6500 mAh battery easily covers a full day of typical use.
120Hz display makes everyday scrolling and browsing feel smooth.
IP65 rating adds welcome durability for a budget device.
44W fast charging cuts down downtime.
50MP main camera captures decent detail in good lighting.
Expandable storage up to 2TB gives long-term flexibility.
Side-mounted fingerprint sensor for quick, convenient unlocking.

Cons

No 5G connectivity, so data speeds are capped at 4G.
HD+ resolution on a large 6.74-inch screen isn’t as sharp as Full HD+ panels.
Auxiliary 0.08MP lens adds little real photographic value.
Low-light camera performance is limited.
Unisoc T7225 chipset isn’t built for heavy gaming.
Plastic build with no Gorilla Glass or reinforced display protection.

Verdict

The Vivo Y11d is built for buyers who want a big display, dependable battery life, and everyday durability at an entry-level price. Its 6500mAh battery and 120Hz screen make it comfortable for browsing, streaming, and messaging throughout the day, and the 50MP main camera holds its own in good lighting.

That said, the HD+ resolution, lack of 5G, and modest chipset mean it’s not the choice for gamers or performance-focused buyers. Overall, the Vivo Y11d is a solid pick for practical, budget-minded users who prioritize battery endurance and screen size over premium performance.
